Votes Counting Boycott After Seeing Signs Of UML Losing

May 18, Kathmandu- The Mia family, which has been holding political position in Parsa since the Panchayat period in various ways, has boycotted the counting of votes after seeing signs of losing its candidate in the local elections.

The Mia family has boycotted the ongoing counting of votes in Jagarnathpur village municipality of Parsa after showing signs of losing their candidate. The counting of votes was halted when the Mia family boycotted the counting on Tuesday afternoon saying that ballot papers without the signature of the election official were found in the ballot box.

Speaking at a press conference in Birgunj today, Jalim Mia, head of the Mia family and outgoing chairman of the Jagarnathpur village municipality, said that the CPN-UML would boycott the counting of votes in the Jagarnathpur village municipality.
