Government Vehicles Operated During Public Holidays Under Police Control

May 22, Kathmandu- Government vehicles used on public holidays have also been taken under control.

District Police Office, Syangja seized five vehicles on Saturday. The Ministry of Home Affairs has directed the public bodies not to operate office vehicles on public holidays. Police Inspector at the District Police Office Padma Raj Thapa informed that the vehicles were taken under control while implementing the directive.

According to him, two motorcycles belonging to Biruwa village municipality, one motorcycle belonging to the education office, a four-wheeled vehicle belonging to Galyang municipality, and a four-wheeled vehicle belonging to Paiyun village have been taken under control.

He said that government vehicles would be taken under control if found operating without permission as it is a public holiday even today.
