May 23, Kathmandu- In the Kathmandu Metropolitan City, 70 percent of the votes have been counted for the local level election held on May 13.
Out of the total 191,186 votes cast, 134,087 votes have been counted so far. It is said that 57,099 votes of Kathmandu metropolis are left to be counted now.
Independent candidate Balen Shah got 45,982 votes after completing 70 percent of the votes. His nearest rival Shirjana Shrestha of the Nepali Congress got 27,423 votes. Keshav Sthapit of the UML got 26,454 votes.
