May 23, Kathmandu- Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) yesterday (Sunday) sharply increased the price of petroleum products.

Many petrol pumps in the Kathmandu Valley have posted notices of diesel and petrol along with the price hike by the corporation. Also, some open pumps have seen heavy crowds.

According to the Nepal Petroleum Dealers National Association, sales of pumps across the country have been affected due to cuts in payments at pumps to embarrass the government. According to the association, there has been a shortage of fuel at pumps across the country since Monday morning.
