Miruna Magar Case: Poster Of Movie 'Kabaddi 4' Was Also Burnt

May 31, Kathmandu- Actress Miruna Magar of Nepali movie 'Kabaddi 4' has been protested against saying that she is trying to deceive an innocent.

Demonstrations have been staged in front of some movie halls in Kathmandu today demanding to stop the screening of 'Kabaddi 4'. A poster of the film has also been burnt in front of KL Tower in Chuchchepati.

Actress Miruna had filed a case against Phurba Lama, who is a Lama monk, saying that he had touched her private part during a promotion event. Police are investigating against him for his indecent behavior. Protesters have demanded the unconditional release of the arrested Buddhist monk and an apology from the actress. Further investigation is underway on the incident as a lot of footage recorded by the people present at the scene shows his innocence, according to the public. People are protesting to not screen 'Kabaddi 4' anymore in movie halls.

Phurba Tamang, 24, of Mugum Karmarong Gaonpalika-2 in Mugu, was detained at around 2.30 p.m. on Sunday, according to Dinesh Raj Mainali, Superintendent of Police in Kathmandu. He is accused of behaving indecently towards actress Magar. The actress was treated indecently in a cafe on the seventh floor of the Civil Mall in Kathmandu Metropolitan City-11, according to Superintendent of Police Mainali. He was also made to catch his ear and do up and down in the public.
