Complaint Filed To Stop Screening of Movie 'Kabaddi-4' Alleging Humiliation of Buddhism

Jun 13, Kathmandu:  A complaint has been lodged at the District Publication Office, Kathmandu, demanding to stop the screening of the Nepali feature film 'Kabaddi-4' which has been running simultaneously across the country since last Friday.

Robin Kumar Lama on Monday lodged a complaint with the Film Investigation Committee, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) demanding the immediate cessation of the performance of 'Kabaddi-4' and later alteration of the scenes and words.

In the complaint, Lama states, "The main storyline and presentation scenes of the movie Kabaddi-4 are a serious threat to the dignity of the Buddhist lama monks, the Sanatan Buddhist community, and the nature of opposition to social relations. As soon as the subject is included, we can get an order to remove the film in accordance with subsection 4 of section 8 of the Film Production, Exhibition and Distribution Act, 1969 AD.
