Government Is Declaring Jai Prithvi Bahadur Singh A National Hero

Jun 21, Kathmandu- The government is going to declare Jai Prithvi Bahadur Singh a national hero.

Government spokesperson and Minister for Communications and Information Technology Gyanendra Bahadur Karki said that the decision was taken to declare Singh a national hero in recognition of his contribution to the development of the education sector and Nepal's recognition to the world. His alphabet education is considered to be the first textbook in Nepali language.

Singh, who was born in 1934 BS, Bhadra in Bajhang, died on Ashwin 1, 1917 BS. Similarly, the last cabinet meeting has decided to promote Joint Secretary Binod Prakash Singh to the post of Nepal Administrative Service Gazetted Special Category.

To suspend Yubaraj Adhikari, Executive Chairman of Nepal Airlines Corporation as per Article 20 of Nepal Airlines Corporation Act-2019, to proceed with the investigation, to allow use of national forest area for Kohalpur Surkhet 132 kV transmission line project, to appoint Dharmendra Jha to the vacant post of National News Committee RSS

Also, the cabinet meeting held yesterday decided not to move ahead with the United States State Partnership Program (SPP).
