Jul 17, Kathmandu- Pradeep Sharma Poudel has been appointed as the Executive Director of National Information Technology Center (NITC). The meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Friday decided to appoint Poudel from Parbat as the executive of NITC.

Earlier, on Jestha 13, the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology issued a public notice and requested applications for the vacant posts.

Sunil Paudel, currently the managing director of Nepal Telecom Company (Nepal Telecom), was working as the executive director of NITC at that time. Paudel was appointed as the Managing Director of Telecom by the cabinet meeting held on the 24th of Chaitra.

13 people applied for the application requested by the government for the executive director of NITC, which was vacant after Poudel was appointed as the managing director of Telecom.

The selection committee chaired by the secretary of the ministry selected the best three names from among the applications and recommended them to the cabinet. From that, the government decided to appoint Poudel as the new executive director.
