Aug 1, Kathmandu: The police have come to the initial conclusion that four members of the same family were found dead in Kavresthali at Kathmandu and that it was a case of suicide after the murder.

Dinesh Pandey, his wife Sunita Kapri Pandey, 13-year-old daughter Ashika, and 8-year-old son Ashiq were found dead in their house at Padamsal, Tarakeshwar Municipality-2. Ashika who is studying in Class 5 at Sainik School did not come to board the bus to go to school on Monday morning, and the neighbors inquired.

When no one answered when they called the house, the locals informed the police. When the police broke the door, they found all four dead. The police have sent the bodies of the four deceased to the University Teaching Hospital for post-mortem.

Suicide after murder

The police investigating the incident have made a preliminary conclusion that Dinesh committed suicide after killing his wife and children. An investigating officer said that the location of the incident site, 'suicide note' etc. indicate this.

This family of Bhimsen Thapa Rural Municipality-6 Ashrang of Gorkha had been living here for a few years. According to relatives, Dinesh stayed in Kuwait for almost 12 years and returned 4 and a half years ago. Ekat also built a house after buying land in Padmasal. But Sunita and his relationship was not good.

Dinesh used to suspect that his wife was having an affair with another man and they used to fight over this issue. After frequent fights, Sunita filed a complaint with the police. The Walaju circle of the police called both of them three times and discussed them, but they could not reconcile the family.

Last time, Dinesh even took a loan of 10 lakh rupees to sell the house. But Sunita did not agree to sell. Dinesh didn't mind because the house was in his name. Sunita returned 11 lakh rupees with a fine of 1 lakh to the person who refused to buy the house.

Dinesh wanted to divorce Sunita. But Sunita refused to say that it would affect the future of her children. Instead, she started trying to go for foreign employment. After getting a seasonal visa in the UK, she sold the fancy shop in Padmasal and closed the account by withdrawing the money from the Mega Dream cooperative.

But he was killed before flying to Britain. The forensic team that reached the spot said that the incident took place on Sunday night. The police said that Dinesh may have stabbed his wife and children to death during the dispute.

After the murder, Dinesh tried to commit suicide by hanging himself, police said. But after that attempt failed, an officer says that he may have committed suicide by stabbing himself. Dinesh's suicide note has also been found.

According to an investigation officer, he has complained in the suicide note that his relationship with his wife is not good, and after filing a complaint, he was detained in Maharajganj circle.
