Aug 2, Kathmandu: Nepali national team captain and goalkeeper Kiran Chemjong has become the best goalkeeper in Maldives football.

In the top league of the Maldives in Divehi Premier League, Kiran won the first league title from Mazia and the second league title individually. Kiran performed highly to make Mazia Sports and Recreation the champion for the third season in a row.

He played as a professional footballer in the Maldives and was honored with the best goalkeeper award. Goalkeeper Chemjong's club Maziya Sports and Recreation (MSR) Sports Club won this season's title.

Earlier, he won the best goalkeeper award along with the title from TC Sports in 2018. Maija won 20 out of 21 matches while winning the title for the third season in a row while scoring a hat-trick in the league while losing in one match.
