Agreement To Unify The Two Communist Components

Aug 5, Kathmandu- The party will be unified between the CPN majority with Dharmendra Bastola as the coordinator and the CPN (Revolutionary Maoist) with Mohan Baidya as the general secretary.

There is going to be unity between the two communist components in the then CPN-Maoist. Today, it is said that in a meeting attended by the top leaders of both parties, it was agreed to unite the party. After the meeting, general secretary Baidya and coordinator Bastola issued a joint press release.

In the statement, it is said that a coordinating committee has been formed for party unity. CPN Majority Coordinator Bastola informed that a joint committee of 12 members has been formed with 6/6 members from both parties. On behalf of the revolutionary Maoists, CP Gajurel, Haribhakta Kandel, Pari Thapa, Indra Mohan Sigdel, and Ram Singh Sreesh along with general secretary Baidya are on the committee.

From the CPN majority, the committee includes coordinator Bastola along with Hemanta Prakash Oli, Deepak Chalaune, Guna Raj Lohani, Krishna Dhamala, and Dewa Kala Adhikari as members. Bastola has said that all the patriotic revolutionaries can join the unity process. He said that there is a possibility that the former Maoists could come together again.
