Corruption Case Against Chairman, Secretary And Treasurer Of Consumer Committee

Aug 9, Kathmandu- The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority has registered a case against 3 people including the chairman of the consumer committee of Kalikot in the special court on Tuesday for corruption by causing illegal benefits and damages.

A case has been registered for irregularities in the building construction program of the scheme conducted in the financial year 2070-071 from the former district development committee office, Kalikot. A case has been registered for misappropriation of 2 lakh 51 thousand 529 rupees by making a false bill and including it in the construction work of Allo Dhago Processing Center located in Manm-8 Tadi of Kalikot.

According to the press release issued by the authority's spokesperson, Shyam Prasad Bhandari, a case has been registered against the president of the consumer committee, Nanda Prasad Pandey, secretary Narendra Prasad Pandey and treasurer Binita Rana (Pande).
