Sep 19, Kathmandu: On the occasion of Constitution Day, on the recommendation of the government, President Bidya Devi Bhandari announced the names of 998 people who will be decorated with various honors, decorations, and medals today.

The persons announced in this way will be awarded the honors, decorations, and medals by the President on New Year's Day, (1st Baisakh 2080). As in the previous years too, the names of many artists have been included in the list of honorees, decorations, and medals.

This year, it has been announced that four artists will be given Sukrtimaya Rastradipa to  Senior actor Neer Shah, actor  Rajesh Hamal, and artist duo Harivansh Acharya and Madan Krishna Shrestha. President has announced the award of the Suprabala Janasewasri to actor Arjun Shrestha. It has been announced that actor and director Krishna Kumar Malla and artist Mithila Sharma will be given the record Kirtimaya Rastra Dipa.

It has been announced that Balajanasewa will be given to actor and director Nirmal Sharma and artist Dayahang Rai. President has announced that actor Pradeep Khadka, director Madhav Raj Kharel, dance director Shivram Bk, director Ramesh Koirala, artist Sanam Kathayat, actor Kumar Basnet and artist Manohar Sunam Periyar will be given Janasewasri. The names of artists Sanu Kancha Shahi, Prabhakar Sharma, Indra Bahadur Khatri, and Krishna Bahadur Bk are on the list of recipients of Nepal Service Merit.
