Sept 19, Kathmandu- Barber Union of Nepal (BUN) has increased the fees of salons in Kathmandu Valley.
The valley committee of the association has issued a notification and said that the new rates have been established to be effective from Ashwin 1st. According to this, now the haircut fee will have to be paid at least 200 rupees. Earlier this fee was 150 rupees. The fee for trimming the beard is fixed at 120 to 200 rupees.
According to BUN, the price of hair designing has increased from 350 to 500 rupees, beard designing has increased from 150 to 250 rupees, head massage has increased to 200 rupees, shampooing has increased from 120 to 150 rupees, hair coloring has increased from 500 to 650 rupees, and facial treatment has increased from 1,000 to 1,200 rupees. According to the Kathmandu district committee of the association, there has been a general increase in salon services due to the increase in the cost of everything.
