U-17 Men's Football Team Announced

Sept 29, Kathmandu- The Nepali team for the AFC U-17 Asian Cup qualifiers has been announced. Head coach Urjan Shrestha has selected the players for the tournament to be held in Vietnam in the first week of October.

Shrestha announced the team by changing two players from the team that played in the SAFF U-17 Championship held in Sri Lanka. Mirak Lingden and Pritam Karki, who were previously on the team, could not make it to the announced team for the AFC U-17 Asian Cup qualifiers. While Shreyans Manandhar and Ram Thapa made their place on the team, the other 21 players remain unchanged.

Nepal is in Group 'F' in the tournament which starts on October 5. In Nepal's group, the domestic team is Vietnam, Chinese Taipei, and Thailand.

Nepal will start the tournament by playing against Thailand on 5th October. In the second match on October 7, Nepal will face the home team Vietnam. Similarly, in the last match of the group stage, Nepal will play against Chinese Taipei on October 9.
