Dal Bahadur Kunwar From Jumla Got The Title Of Taplejung Marathon

Sept 30, Kathmandu- Dal Bahadur Kunwar of Jumla has won the title of 'Taplejung Marathon' organized on the occasion of Taplejung Marathon and Tourism Festival. Participating from Karnali Sports Club, Kunwar from Tatopani Rural Municipality-7 Sarmi Jumla won the title by completing the prescribed distance in 4 hours 12 minutes 27 seconds.

Second and third were Khagendra Bahadur Bhatta and Rajan Meyangwo of Tribhuvan Army Club of Nepal Army. Khagendra beat Rajan by 1 second. Bhatta Shikhar Municipality 2, doti house is working in Shiva Dal Gana Bardiya Dhading. He completed the prescribed distance in 4 hours 12 minutes 57 seconds. Rajan, a resident of Fidim Municipality 11 in Panchthar and working in the army unit Ransher Gana Panchthar, covered the distance in 4 hours 12 minutes 58 seconds.

135 people participated in the competition. The first prize of the competition was 1 lakh 51, the second 1 lakh 31 and the third 1 lakh 11 thousand. The competition started from Pathibhara Chowk in the headquarters of Fungling and reached Suketar, Kafleparti, Pathibhara temple, and ended at Tokme located in the headquarters. The tourism festival started in Taplejung on the 11th with the aim of promoting the ancient religious site Pathibhara.
