Sherpa Language App Made Public

Oct 09, Kathmandu- Sherpa language app has been released on World Sherpa Day. The Sherpa language app has been created at the initiative of the World Sherpa Association for those who want to learn the Sherpa language.

It is said that the app was built with the financial support of Sherpas living in different countries. This app was released by Sendok Tulku, a religious guru of the Sherpa community.

Through this, anyone from anywhere in the world can easily learn the Sherpa language, said Angdorji Lama Sherpa, the president of the association. He said that the app has been prepared with the aim that the next generation can learn and speak the Sherpa language easily from their phones, computers, or laptops.

President Sherpa said, "The app will make it easier for young people to learn the language and will help to bring uniformity in the language style in the general Sherpa community. The app will play an important role in the preservation, development, and expansion of the Sherpa language.

In the app, you can learn the words, sentences, and pronunciation of the Sherpa language in Nepali and English. In addition, in the public program of the app, certificates of appreciation were awarded to Sherpa organizations and individuals in different countries of the world who provided financial support for the construction of the Sherpa language app. The association has been celebrating October 8 as World Sherpa Day since 2017.
