Oct 19, Kathmandu: Stakeholders say that it will be difficult to transform society until girls who are out of school are brought to school for studies. In the program held today in Janakpurdham, the stakeholders told that.
The participants in the meeting of the girls' and social workers' education network held in Janakpurdham on Wednesday, organized by the Ministry of Social Development of Madhesh Province, emphasized this point. They emphasize that there should be cooperation between all government and partner organizations to enroll 18 percent of girls who are out of school in the districts of Madhesh province.
They suggest that if girls are educated, the education of the nation will improve through the home, family, and society, so the government should give high priority to girls' education. Lakshmi Bhattarai, secretary of the Ministry of Social Development of Madhesh Province, said that the government is working on making a comprehensive education policy for the province.
He said that after the education policy of the state government comes, it will help in solving such problems. He said that it is necessary for the partner organizations to work together and move forward on how to bring girls aged 10 to 19 who are out of school education to school.
Director of Madhesh Province Education Development Directorate Chudamani Phuyal said that the condition of education in Madhesh Province is weak. He said that the state government will prioritize the education insurance program for girls.
Shyamakrishna Mandal of ENGAGE project said that they are working to provide education to girls who are out of school in Parsa and Sarlahi of Madhesh province. He says that the organization has enrolled 2,525 girls in school so far.
