Oct 26, Kathmandu: An agreement has been signed between Kathmandu Metropolitan City and Digital & Beyond Pvt Ltd to develop digital teaching methods in community schools. The agreement was signed between Ram Prasad Subedi, Head of the Education Department, and Sagun Dhungana, Chief Executive Officer of Viand.
According to the agreement, for the next 2 years, Viand will provide free support services, including training for operations and management, to the metropolis to carry out educational activities from Google. Beyond is Google's Nepal and South Asian partner organization.
There will be work to develop the digital capacity of teachers for teaching and learning in public schools, teaching students, and making teaching and learning management technology-friendly. On that occasion, the deputy head of the metropolis, Dangol, said that the direct benefit of the use of digital technology should be in the educational and mental development of the students. The speaker participating in the program emphasized the need to provide access to digital literacy to the 50,000 students studying in public schools in the Kathmandu metropolis.
