Congress Thapa Elected From Kanchanpur 2 (Constituency)

Nov 23,Kathmandu:  Nepali Congress Bahadur Singh Thapa from Kanchanpur constituency no. 2 (b) has opened his account from the Provincial Assembly.He has been elected as the candidate of the alliance.

Thapa defeated the nearest rival UML central member and Kanchanpur co-in-charge Kriparam Rana by a margin of 1,726 votes. Thapa got 10,668 votes and Rana got 8,942 votes. 9 candidates from that constituency were in the election field.

Lal Bahadur Khadka of CPN (Unified Socialist) got 4 thousand 404 votes, Chakradev Joshi of RPP got 1 thousand 835 votes and Jitendra Chaudhary of Civil Liberation Party who participated in the elections for the first time got 1 thousand 868 votes.

31 thousand 171 votes were cast out of 50 thousand 889 voters in Region 2 (A). In Region 2, the candidate of the Left Democratic Alliance in the House of Representatives, the central member of the Congress, NP Saund, is leading.
