Indonesia Earthquake Update: Death Toll Reaches 268, Rescue Operation Continues

Nov 23, Kathmandu- The death toll from Monday's 5.6 magnitude earthquake in Indonesia has reached 268. Along with this, it is said that more than 150 have gone missing.

The island of Java in Indonesia was the most affected by this earthquake. Even now, the rescue is going on here. Rescue workers are working to rescue people buried under the rubble of buildings destroyed by the earthquake.

Along with this, incidents of landslides have also come out. A slight tremor is felt in this area after the earthquake. The epicenter of the earthquake was near the city of Cianjur.

Indonesian President Joko Widodo visited the earthquake-affected areas on Tuesday. He said that the government will assist in the reconstruction of the houses damaged by the earthquake.
