Why Congress Are Zero In Rupandehi For HoR?

Nov 26, Kathmandu:  From Rupandehi, the Nepali Congress has become a member of the House of Representatives(HoR). In Rupandehi, which has five constituencies, the Congress was defeated as no candidate from the ruling alliance could win.

After Balkrishna Khan, who was also the home minister, could not secure his seat, RPP leader Deepak Bohora won. The counting of votes in all five constituencies of Rupandehi has been completed.

In Rupandehi, UML has won 3, RPPA 1 and LSPA 1 region. There are 10 constituencies for the state assembly here. In Rupandehi 1, UML Secretary Chabilal Bishwakarma won by defeating Ghanshyam Bhusal by 3,500 votes. Similarly, UML Vice President Bishnu Prasad Paudel has won from Rupandehi-2. RP Vice President Deepak Bohora won from Rupandehi-3. Home Minister Balkrishna Khan was defeated by Bohora.

Likewise, LOSPA's Sarvendra Nath Shukla has won as a member of the House of Representatives from Rupandehi 4. He defeated Pramod Yadav of Congress. Accordingly, UML's Vasudev Ghimir defeated influential Congress leader Bharat Kumar Shah in the HoR in Rupandehi Region 5 by a wide margin.

The total population of Rupandehi is 8 lakh 74 thousand 606. There are 638 thousand 952 voters here. Of which 3 lakh 27 thousand 433 are male and 3 lakh 11 thousand 511 are female. Congress District President Ramakrishna Khan said that in the winning places, they had to vote for other parties due to alliances, and even in the places they got, they had to suffer unexpected results due to ambushes within the party.

He said - 'Here the weight of the opposition party's votes is higher than the alliance parties, the party's conventions, the dissatisfaction of the local level poured into the election, so the results did not come as expected. Votes received in adverse circumstances should not be underestimated.
