After the people's representatives were elected in Resunga municipality, the first meeting of the municipal executive decided to provide free eye treatment. According to the same decision, Pokharel also got the opportunity to get free eye treatment. His happiness knows no bounds when he sees it now as clearly as before.

The treatment has been arranged with the help of Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangha District Eye Treatment Center. Expressing happiness after meeting Khildhwaj Panthi, Mayor of Resunga Municipality, who reached the camp, he said that the decision of the municipality should be followed by other municipalities as well. He responded that there is a big relief for those who are in low financial condition.

City chief Panthi said that free eye treatment was provided to the citizens within this municipality through an agreement with Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangh, district eye treatment center Tamghas Gulmi. "After the cataract surgery, the old parents have been able to see clearly with their eyes by wearing glasses".

Mayor Panthi said, “This is important work. We have come to work in favor of poor people, elderly parents, and citizens. We will always work in favor of Resunga citizens”. The decision of Resunga Municipality City Executive has now become effective.

After the election of the new people's representatives in the municipality, the first meeting of the municipal executive decided to provide free treatment to the citizens within this municipality. According to the same decision, the eyes of the citizens of this municipality have been treated free of charge, said Panthi, the mayor.

All the municipalities in the district also gave priority to this type of program and suggested that it would be easy for eye patients from all over the district to get treatment easily. So far, in coordination with the municipality, Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangh Gulmi has performed free cataract surgery for 46 people, said Surya Bahadur Basnet, the eye director.
