Homosexual Marriage Law Has Been Passed By The Parliament

Dec 09, Kathmandu- The US Parliament has passed a historic bill to protect homosexual relationships and interracial marriage.

Earlier, the Senate, the upper house of the US Parliament, had already passed this bill. After being passed by the Lower House, it will now become law after President Joe Biden signs it. President Biden has said that he will proudly sign this as it is a historic matter.

In the Lower House, 39 members of the Republican Party voted in support of the bill. Currently, the Democratic Party has a majority in the lower house of the US Parliament. However, due to the results of the recently concluded mid-term elections, the Republican Party will gain the majority from next January.

After the American Supreme Court, led by conservative-minded judges, overturned an old decision on abortion, the debate on this bill began in the United States.
