Dec 9, Kathmandu: With the start of flyover construction work at Gwarko Chowk in Lalitpur, the traffic jam on the road has started to increase.
The problem of traffic jams on the road is increasing since the construction of the flyover at Gwarko Chowk started this morning.

The goal is to complete the construction of the flyover within 14 months. RC, Parallel, and Religare, which have been awarded the contract for the project, started the construction of the flyover on Friday.

Design and other necessary preparations for the construction of the flyover have been done. 
Under the ring road expansion project, flyovers will be constructed in three congested areas from Koteshwar to Kalanki on the extended road section.

Under which the first flyover is going to be constructed at Gwarko Chowk. It is said that the 6-meter-high flyover will be constructed as per international standards.

The total length of the flyover will be 455 meters, the ground clearance will be 6 meters, and the ramps will be constructed 180 meters on the right side and 110 meters on the left side for the vehicles to board the flyover.
The work will be started by placing barricades at the beginning.

All vehicles going and coming from Koteshwar to Satdobato will be driven through the service lane 600 meters before and after Gwarko Chowk.

According to the traffic police office, passenger vehicles, motor vehicles, and two-wheeled vehicles coming from Balkhu to Koteshwar via Satdobato will be operated from Balkhu on the service lane and small four-wheeled vehicles will be operated on the fast track.
