Dec 16, Kathmandu- A person who went absconding after stealing 59 tolas of gold and more than one and a half lakh rupees has been arrested.
The arrested person is 26-year-old Dil Bahadur Ghale, a resident of Dhungedhara, Barpak Sulikot Rural Municipality-1, Gorkha, Kathmandu.
SP and Spokesperson Krishna Koirala claimed that he stole 26 tolas worth of gold jewelry and 14,000 rupees from Pabitra Baniya's house in Banasthali, Kathmandu, and 13 tolas of gold and 57,000 rupees of cash from the room of Kedarnath Dhakal, who staying in Baniya's house in rent on December 4.

After the information about the theft came to the police, a team from the Valley Crime Division arrested Ghale after it was revealed that he was involved in the theft.
Crime spokesman Koirala informed that Ghale was arrested from his home in Gorkha on Thursday and brought to Kathmandu.
Earlier, he was also found to have robbed a house in Kathmandu on 7th Jestha 2074. After he was found to have stolen, the Lainchaur police circle prosecuted him in the theft case. At that time, he was imprisoned for 1 year and 7 months and was released from Dillibajar prison on the 9th of Paush 2075 after paying a fine of 2 lakh 72 thousand 899 rupees.
