Jan 8, Kathmandu: Nepal Rastra Bank has asked you to be careful while using ATMs. The bank has also suggested four measures for the safe use of ATMs after the incidents of theft of funds by hacking ATMs came to light earlier.

According to the bank, ATM users should keep their PIN code secret, stay away from strangers, contact the respective bank if money is deducted from the account while using the ATM but do not receive money, and if necessary, contact the bank staff and seek assistance from the bank's staff.

The bank has also ordered not to share ATM cards and PIN number with strangers or any other person. The bank has emphasized that when withdrawing money from the ATM, there is a camera or not and whether anyone sees it or not when pressing the PIN code.
