January 22, Kathmandau - Schools in Butwal have been closed due to extreme cold. The Butwal Sub-Metropolitan Municipality has directed to close the schools for three days.

People's life in the Terai region of Lumbini has been more affected due to the cold wave and extreme cold since Thursday morning.

The sub-metropolitan government has instructed to close school from January 22 to January 24.

Meanwhile, Lumbini Social Development Minister Sudarshan Baral has requested to take precaution against cold.

Issuing an appeal, Minister Baral said that if there is any problem in the body due to cold, he should go to the nearest health facility.
