Jan 15, Kathmandu: The registrar of Pokhara University Prof. Dr. Deepak Bahadur Bhandari has said that if technical education can be taken, no one should become unemployed. He said that after getting technical education, one can do something in the country and those who go abroad after learning skills will also get a good job. It was said that the trend of going abroad is increasing now, and those who go abroad without training are only suffering.
Speaking on the occasion of the 11th anniversary of Rapti Engineering College Ghorahi on Friday, Registrar Bhandari said that the youth are dying to go abroad and those who are going abroad to study are turning into workers. "Those who go abroad to study are doing labor. If someone says they are working and studying, that is not possible. Those who go as students are making their future dark," said Bhandari.
Suggesting young students to stay in the country and do something, Bhandari claimed that quality education in any corner of the world can be obtained by staying here. Saying that immense knowledge can be obtained by using the increasing information technology, he urged to get the best knowledge of the world by using information and technology. In another episode, he said that Dang district has good potential for education.
They said that there are foundations to make Dang district a hub of education, and they opined that the situation has changed a lot now compared to 16 years ago when Rapti Engineering College was given permission. He expressed his belief that Rapti Engineering College will play a good role in engineering products that will be used for the development of Nepal.
In the program, Tulsiram Bhandari, Controller of Examinations of Pokhara University expressed his happiness saying that Pokhara University is working for technical education in Nepal and that Rapti Engineering College is producing good manpower.
In the program, the principal of the college, Resham Giri, informed about the condition of the college and said that 90 percent of the manpower produced by the college is employed and self-employed. On that occasion, certificates and medals were awarded to the students who won the first, second, and third positions in various sports and extracurricular activities conducted in the college.
