Jan 21, Kathmandu- At least eight people have died in an avalanche in the city of Nyingchi in the southwestern region of Tibet. The Chinese government has sent a team to exhume the bodies and inspect the missing.

According to a Chinese News Agency, the avalanche hit Pai village in Menling County and a section of the road leading from Doksong La Tunnel in Medog County. People and vehicles were stranded after the avalanche. How many people are still missing in the avalanche is yet to be confirmed.
