CMC Cancer Institute Has Come Into Operations

Jan 27, Kathmandu:  Chitwan Medical College has started CMC Cancer Institute to provide treatment at the fees charged by government hospitals. The director of the hospital Dr. Dayaram Lamsal informed me.

Dr. Lamsal said, "The hospital built with an investment of more than two billion rupees has a modern treatment system. We will treat you here at the fees charged by government hospitals.” He informed me that since modern equipment is installed here more than those installed in big hospitals in Delhi, India, treatment can be done confidently.

The hospital has spent one billion 27 million rupees only on the purchase of state-of-the-art equipment. Lamsal said. The hospital has been built at a cost of more than two billion rupees in terms of other equipment and physical infrastructure. Services such as radiation are now operational in the hospital.

Since treatment is done in this hospital at the same cost as the government hospital, if you think that the private sector will charge more for the treatment, then the director Dr. Lamsal urged. In the institute, radiation, brachytherapy, spect city scan, bone marrow transplant, blood cancer treatment, child cancer treatment, and transplant will be done said Lamsal. Director Dr. Lamsal claimed that he started the hospital so that cancer patients would have to wait for a long time and have to go abroad.
