What Should You Do Not When Your Phone Drop In Water?

Jan 27, Kathmandu: Smartphone has become an integral part of our daily life. Smartphone manufacturers have now introduced high-quality waterproof smartphones. But not all smartphones are waterproof and such smartphones get damaged after being soaked in water.

When our phone falls into water or gets wet, we do something in haste, because of which the phone gets better and worse. So we have to take special precautions if the phone falls into the water. Don't make these mistakes if you drop your phone in water:

Don't lie: If the smartphone is completely submerged in water and damaged, then the warranty given by the seller will not work on such a phone. That is why people hide the fact that the phone is soaked in water when they go to the service center or the seller claims a warranty for repairing the damaged phone. But there is no benefit in doing so because the person repairing the phone will know that it is wet and damaged.

Don't use a hair dryer to dry the water: Some people start drying their phone by using a hair dryer when it gets wet. But doing so is harmful. The air coming out of the hair dryer is very hot. It easily damages the weak electronic parts of the phone.

Don't charge your phone after it gets wet: When your phone is turned off due to water and won't turn on, don't charge it by telling it to turn on. If you connect the charger to a wet phone and charge it, there is a high risk of damage to the internal parts due to the short circuit.

Switch off the wet phone: If your phone is still working after falling in water, first switch off the phone. When the phone is running, all its parts work and there is a risk of a short circuit due to wetness, so the phone should be turned off.

Do not take out the SIM card: If the phone is wet, do not open the SIM card tray and take out the SIM card. By doing this there is a risk of water getting inside the phone.

Do not shake the phone unnecessarily: Many people have the habit of shaking a wet phone to get the water out. But this should not be done. This can damage the sensitive parts of the phone and cause water to seep in and cause a short circuit.

Do not try to remove the phone's battery and other parts by yourself to dry the water that has entered the phone.

Do not press the volume, power, etc. buttons of the phone unnecessarily. This increases the risk of water stuck on the switch and reach the inside of the phone.

In order to dry the dew inside the phone, some people take the breath out of their mouths and blow on the phone. But doing so is harmful. By doing this, there is a danger that the humidity inside the phone will increase and it will become even dewier.
