CAN Invites 28 Players For Closed Training, Sandeep Seems No Chance Of Returning To The Field

Jan 27, Kathmandu- Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has called 28 players for closed training for the Tri ODI Series of ICC World Cup League-2. Captain Sandeep Lamichhane, who is suspended among the 28 players, was not selected.

He was released on bail recently after he was imprisoned after being accused of rape. After he was released on bail, there was a debate about whether he should be included in closed training. After his release, Can expressed that Sandeep could be included in closed training. However, Can did not include him in the preliminary squad announced today.

Nepal is playing a series against Scotland and Namibia at the Trivi Maidan in Kirtipur from next February. Nepal will play the first match in the series against Namibia on February 14. Similarly, Nepal is scheduled to play against Scotland on February 17, Namibia on February 18, and Scotland on February 21.
