Rara Lake Region Became White With Snow

Jan 30, Kathmandu: It has started snowing in the higher parts of Karnali since last Tuesday morning. The lake has become more attractive due to snowfall in the Raratal region.

The scene here has become very mesmerizing due to the snowfall in the area, which is an attractive tourist destination. There is a rush of domestic and foreign tourists to play in the snow. Rara continues without the flow of cold. Up to two feet of snow has accumulated around Rara. The trees around it are blooming with snow.

Whiteness can be seen everywhere in the Rara region. After a heavy snowfall, it looks like white vinegar is placed on the side of the lake. As Rara changes its appearance three times a day to brown, purple, and blue, the white snow adds more charm to it.

Ram Shah, a domestic tourist who came to see Rara during winter, responded that only the lucky ones get the opportunity to see the scene of Rara this season. Tourists say that this weather is suitable for visiting Rara as one can reach Murma Top and view the settlement from Setamme Rara to Waripari. Rara's area is five kilometers long, about three kilometers wide, and 167 meters deep.

In Rara, rare species of fish, queen trout, frogs, and 300 species of birds are found in Rara. According to the office of Rara National Park, Rara is considered important for observing wild animals such as muskrat, red pandas, deer, ghoral, bears, ratua.
