Jan 30, Kathmandu: Local citizens have stayed outside their homes all night after false rumors of an 'earthquake' have spread in the Himalayan districts of Karnali Province.

Locals of Humla, Jumla, Mugu, and other districts spent the whole night burning fire outside their houses after a villager in Humla spread the rumor of an earthquake. The rumors spread late on Sunday night and the local citizens stayed outside their houses in the cold weather.

Rumors of an earthquake in the Himalayan district of Karnali were widely spread overnight. According to the Humla District Administration Office, a search is on for witch doctors who spread rumors.
