Realme bringing a 240 watt fast charger

Jan 30, Kathmandu- For the last few years, smartphone manufacturers have been in a race to increase charging speed. From 65 to 100 watts, now 150 watt chargers have been released.

The Chinese company Realme has announced that it will bring a faster charger for the upcoming phones as the charger of that speed is not enough. The company will probably provide a charger with 240 watt charging speed for the 'Realme GT Neo 5' phone.

According to Realme, this is the highest speed supported by the Type-C port. But the company has not revealed how many minutes the charger takes to fully charge the phone.

However, another company, Oppo, claims that a phone with a 4400 mAh battery can be fully charged in just nine minutes with a 240 watt fast charger. Therefore, it is estimated that Realme's charger can take this much time to fully charge

The USB Standard Body (USB-IF) also states that 240 watts is the highest speed available on the Type-C interface.

"This new technology with cutting-edge charging solutions charges the phone safely and conveniently, which provides a better experience for consumers," the company said in a statement.

Not only this, Realme is also bringing a 12 ampere charging cable for the first time in the world, which is the best and highest standard in the mobile industry so far.

Earlier, in 2021, Realme adopted 67-watt charging technology in its number series and provided fast charging facility in the mid-range segment.

Similarly, in 2022, Realme GT Neo 3 provided the first 150-watt fast charging facility in the mobile industry, in which the mobile could be charged from zero to 100 percent within 20 minutes.
