China Coal Mine Flood Update: Four Casualties

Feb 02, Kathmandu- The provincial emergency management authority said on Wednesday that four people were trapped in a coal mine in northern China's Shanxi Province due to a flood.

The flood accident occurred at around 5 am on January 27 at the Jushan coal company, an affiliate of Shanxi Lanhua group, located in Jincheng City of Shanxi.

The Local Emergency Management Authority and Mine Safety Administration issued a circular on Wednesday, instructing the coal company to improve its production if there is any problem and to strengthen its safety management during the improvement period.
