Feb 10, Kathmandu: After demanding more privileges than what is provided in the constitution, there was an argument between the parliamentarians in the draft committee meeting of the House of Representatives(HoR).
Since they are parliamentarians, they started arguing with the mindset that they need more privileges than the constitution. After there was no unanimity regarding the provisions to be kept on the subject of MPs being bound by the rules, a situation arose between the members.
There was a difference of opinion among the members of the committee regarding the arrangements to be made regarding the position and facilities of MPs at various stages after being arrested on criminal charges until the case was finalized. At the same time, when the conclusions obtained from the discussion were to be announced, independent MP Amresh Kumar Singh expressed his anger saying that the staff of the secretariat interfered in the discussion.
Earlier in the meeting, MP Singh, who was disagreeing about binding MPs to the rules saying that he did not believe in the decision of the court, poured all his anger on the spokesperson Giri and said, "You are a UML worker, you only flirt with Subashchandra Nemwang", the atmosphere in the meeting room was disturbed.
Another member Mahesh Bertaula objected to the meeting after MP Singh asked the committee member and Chairman of the Constituent Assembly Nemwang that "why did not the report of Giris Chandralal be made public". As the discussion of the meeting started to go beyond the topic, Chairman Chitra Bahadur KC had to give instructions to focus on the topic.
