Lalitpur Social Worker Jagmohan Kayastha Passed Away

Mar 15, Kathmandu: District social worker Jagmohan Meher Kayastha has passed away. 86-year-old Kayastha passed away at his residence in Lalitpur Chapagaon on Tuesday morning.

He contributed to the establishment of science faculty in Bajwarahi Higher Secondary School and the upliftment of the educational sector of South Lalitpur. Considering the difficulties he faced in getting an education during his childhood, he arranged for many children from poor families to study.

He was considered equally brilliant in the field of music. Many people know him as Jagmohan Bami, who has spent a long time in the field of songs and music, especially in the Nepali language. The song 'Zhin Yanu Mani' voiced by him is famous.

Two years ago, a 'Jagmohan Bami solo music evening' was organized at the Nachghar under the auspices of the Godawari Municipality and the Godavari Sahitya Pratishthan. Godawari Municipality Mayor Gajendra Mahajan has said that a good social worker, culturalist, education lover, and religious personality has been lost. Wami's funeral was held on Tuesday itself.
