Pak Politics: Imran Khan's Party Workers Clash With Police Outside Lahore Residence To Foil His Arrest

Mar 15, Kathmandu: The police who went to arrest Imran Khan, the former Prime Minister of Pakistan and Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Party (PTI) on corruption charges, have been forced to return empty-handed.

Khan's supporters stopped the police car that was going to his residence in Lahore and the police failed to arrest Khan after a massive clash ensued. Police used force after thousands of supporters gathered outside Khan's residence in Lahore, Pakistan, and pelted stones at the police. Dozens of Imran Khan's supporters and policemen were injured in the incident.

Some of them were injured by rubber bullets fired by the police and are in serious condition. Meanwhile, the supporters of Imran Khan's party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf PTI, started a protest in various cities of Pakistan in support of Imran Khan and took control of Janam Park in Lahore. Also, they surrounded the house of Imran Khan.
