National Consensus And Unity Needed In The Management Of Transitional Justice: President Poudel

Mar 18, Kathmandu- President Ram Chandra Poudel has said that national consensus and unity is necessary for the management of transitional justice.

President Poudel said this while addressing the tea ceremony organized for MPs at Sheetal Niwas. He said that in addition to the management of transitional justice, there is a need for national consensus in the management of the effects seen in the economic sector, the protection of political achievements, and the effects of climate change.

Stating that there is a challenge in the country now, he said that if we do not pay attention to the rapid economic and social transformation by making use of the political achievements, we should be serious about the fact that the achieved achievements may be attacked. He said that if the democratic institutions are not strong and law-abiding, the citizens' trust in such institutions will be lost and they will become disillusioned with the system, saying that they should be careful in this regard as well.
