Second Win For Army, First Point For Police

Mar 18, Kathmandu- The departmental team Tribhuvan Army Club won the second victory in Martyr's Memorial 'A' Division League. Army defeated Friends Club by 2-1 in the match played at Chyasal Ground on Saturday. In a competitive match, the Army won a comeback.

Similarly, in another match held on Saturday at Dasharath Stadium, Nepal Police shared the points with New Road Team (NRT) by playing a 1-1 draw. This is Police's first point in the league.

Friends took the early lead in the game. Rafiq Aminu of Friends scored the first goal in the sixth minute. After that, Gelespi Jung Karki scored the equalizing goal in the 24th minute for Army.

After that, Deepak Gurung scored in the injury time for the army. With the victory, Army has scored eight points from five matches. Four points have been reached from the same match of the defeated friends.

Likewise, NRT's Sanjeev Bista scored a goal in the 64th minute at the Dasharath Stadium and raised the spirits of the team. Then in the 75th minute, Police's Pratap Gurung scored a goal to tie the game. Police, who got their first point in the fifth match of the league, are at the bottom of the table. NRT has scored two points from the same match.
