YouTube Removes Ban On Donald Trump

Mar 20, Kathmandu- After a two-year ban, the video-sharing platform YouTube has released the YouTube channel of former US President Donald Trump.

Along with Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram lifting the ban on Trump, YouTube has also taken such a step.

Google banned Trump from posting videos on his YouTube channel in January 2021, saying that Trump's channel violated the rules by doing activities that promote violence.

YouTube issued a press release saying that Donald Trump's YouTube channel has been reinstated.

Google-owned YouTube wrote on Twitter: From today, there is no restriction on Donald Trump's channel and new content can be uploaded to it.

Also, like other YouTube channels, YouTube has made it clear that Trump's channel must follow all its rules.

On January 6, 2019, YouTube banned Donald Trump's YouTube channel just a few days after Trump supporters caused violence in the US Parliament building.

Not only YouTube but also social media including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter banned Trump.

After a long time, Trump launched his own social media platform named Truth Social.

But with the announcement that he will be a candidate in the US presidential election in 2024, the ban on Trump's social media accounts has gradually started to be removed.

Trump's YouTube channel has more than 2.6 million subscribers and Twitter has 87 million followers. Similarly, his number of followers on Facebook is 34 million and his Instagram followers is 23 million.

Although YouTube has lifted the ban and has millions of followers, it is not certain that Donald Trump will return to his YouTube channel.

Donald Trump returned to Facebook after almost 2 years on Friday. As his first comeback post, he posted a video clip of his speech after winning the 2016 presidential election, writing, "I am back."
