Apr 15, Kathmandu:  CPN (Maoist Centre) leader Barshman Pun was shot on Friday night. According to Nepal Police spokesperson SSP Dipendra Ji  the bullet was not fired intentionally.

Jisi informed that a bullet was fired from the pistol carried by Constable Prakash Pun Magar of Nepal Police. On the occasion of the New Year, Havaldar returned to Barshaman house  Baluwatar during a family meeting. When the bullet hit the 74-year-old Teerthamali Pun's mother, the leader, Pun was hit in the leg. Family sources informed me that he is being treated at the trauma center.

The family said that he is related to police constable Pun's grandson. Police constable Kamu was employed in a moving vehicle for the protection of the Chief Justice. The police arrested the constable at night and started an investigation.
