Oli cannot be linked in the Jalhari case: Prime Minister Dahal

May 27, Kathmandu- Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal (Prachanda) has clarified that UML President KP Sharma Oli cannot be contacted regarding the flooding of Pashupatinath Temple.

Speaking at the meeting of the House of Representatives on Saturday, Prime Minister Prachanda presented the argument that Oli should not be involved in this matter as the matter of keeping the Pashupati Jalhari falls under the jurisdiction of the Pashupati Development Fund.

He said, "It is not appropriate to be an opinion person by linking the leader of the main opposition party to this matter." There is a trend of removing such matters from the records of the Parliament.

In the meeting of the House of Representatives held on May 10th, the Maoist Center MP Lekhnath Dahal accused the KP Sharma Oli-led government of corrupting the Pashupatinath temple by painting it with brass. Then, in the meeting on Friday, the UML interrupted the parliament by saying that they would not allow the parliament to proceed until the statement was withdrawn.

On Saturday morning, the leaders of the top three parties, Nepali Congress Chairman Sher Bahadur Deuba, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, and CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli, agreed to run the parliament.
