Jul 11, Kathmandu- On Ashadha 13th, medical professional Durga Prasai received a call from an unknown number on her mobile phone. The caller said his name was Pravesh Lama. The person named Lama said, "There is a plan to kill you." If you want to be safe, give 30 million rupees. You are in the second number. If you don't pay 300 million, I will kidnap you and kill you".

The calls and messages asking for money did not stop. Khotang Rahbeshi Rural Municipality - 1 Ramesh Kumar Gurung, who has a permanent house in Rahbeshi, used to call Durga Prasai and threaten her several times, telling her about the delay. Gurung called and texted Prasai using Prabesh Lama's name.

"If you want to be safe, then you have to pay the amount, if you provide the demand amount, your life can be saved", Gurung used to call. All three Gurungs have been caught by the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of the Nepal Police. The CIB team arrested Gurung from Maharajgunj on Tuesday.

Gurung, who had a Khotang house, used to live in Kathmandu-4 Chundevi. The CIB team arrested Gurung on Tuesday when he came to collect the ransom after the bargaining. According to the police, the investigation was started based on the complaint given by Prasai to the police.

According to Bureau spokesperson Sanjay Singh Rathore, Gurung has been sent to police circle Maharajganj for further investigation. An investigation is being conducted against the accused in the case of kidnapping and body hostage industry.
