Aug 01, Kathmandu- Vice President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav has unveiled a 110 feet high national flag at Matihani Municipality of Mahottari.
On Tuesday, Yadav hoisted the flag placed on a 110 feet high pole built in Tasmai Baba Udyan located in Matihani-7. While inaugurating the flag, Vice President Yadav said that the people here have shown their high loyalty to the nation by installing the national flag.
Expressing concern that Terai-Madhesh has turned into a dry region, Vice President Yadav expressed his concern that farmers are facing a big problem. He said that it is the responsibility of the government to solve the problem sensitively in such a situation.
Chief minister of Madhesh province Saroj Kumar Yadav, ministers of the provincial government, members of the provincial assembly and others were present at the flag opening ceremony.
Addressing the inauguration program, Chief Minister Saroj Kumar Yadav said that the government is committed to solving the problems of irrigation and drinking water in the state.
Chief Minister Yadav said that necessary steps have been taken for this and the results will be seen soon.
