Rastriya Janamorcha Warns Chinese Government To Correct The New Political Map Of Nepal

Sep 1, Kathmandu- The Rastriya Janamorcha has warned China to correct the new political map immediately.

The Jan Morcha issued a statement saying that the said political map has seriously harmed Nepal's nationalism and requested to correct it. In a statement issued by Chairman Chitra Bahadur KC, it is said, "Our party's Rastriya Janamorcha has drawn serious attention to the fact that the new Chuchche map issued by Nepal on May 31, 2077 including Limpiyadhura, Kalapani and Lipulek in Darchula district has not been recognized in the world map including its country issued by the Chinese government on August 28, 2023."

The People's Front alleges that China has supported India's position in a devious manner in the matter of Kalapani, as China kept the map of Nepal before June 2077 on its map and made an agreement with India to develop the Lipulekh crossing as a commercial crossing between China and India without informing Nepal in the past.

The statement said, "Even though Nepal issued a map covering the territory including Kalapani and Lipulek, the Nepal government has not yet been able to intensify the diplomatic initiative with India in this regard. Even during his visit to India, Nepal's Prime Minister Prachanda did not raise anything about it, which explains the surrenderist tendency of the government. It is clear that Indian imperialism is not in the mood to give up its occupation of Kalapani easily.
