Worker injured when an H-beam fell at a construction site in Hong Kong

Oct 06, Kathmandu- A worker was injured when an H-beam fell and hit him at a construction site in Yauma Tei, Hong Kong. He was trapped in a 20-meter-deep tunnel after hitting the beam.

According to The Standard, the accident happened on Friday morning during work at an underground site on Kansu Road under the Central Kowloon Route.

The injured worker and his co-workers were working at the construction site cleaning up debris and cutting steel bars.

The 39-year-old victim suffered injuries to his arm, hip, back and front of his hip.

He was pulled out from the spot by the disaster management and rescue team of the fire service department.

It took about an hour for the rescue team to pull out the injured worker from the accident site.

After the rescue, he was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
