Nov 04, Kathmandu- Those seriously injured in the Jajarkot earthquake will be brought to Kathmandu for treatment. For that purpose, Bir Hospital and National Trauma Center in Kathmandu have been kept in a state of readiness.
Prof. Dr. Bhupendra Kumar Basnet, Vice-Chancellor of the National Academy of Medical Sciences (NAMS) said that the emergency, operation theater and ICU have been kept ready at Veer and Trauma Center. "After receiving the information that injured patients are being brought to Kathmandu as well, we held an emergency meeting with Bir and trauma officials and made preparations," said Dr. Basnet, "We have vacated 38 beds of the emergency room in the trauma center."
We have kept the doctors in readiness. We have sent ambulances to the airport. Bir and trauma center doctors and emergency, OT and ICU have been kept in readiness.
